Punk

Alles ist Punk, was die Hippies nicht mögen. Es muss dilettantisch sein, damit´s auch jeder nachmachen kann, es muss lustig sein und böse wirken. Ein freudiges „Sieg Heil“ am Morgen zur Begrüssung? Klar, wenn´s jemanden stört. Schwierig wird’s, wenn die Musik von der Bühne auf Platte verewigt werden soll. Meistens treffen die Punks dann auf den Klassenfeind, langhaarige Jazzhörende Kiffer. Garantiert wissen die nicht, wie „Zurück zur U-Bahn, zurück zum Beton“ klingen soll. Noch schwieriger ist es, Punk in Film zu giessen. Julian Temple, Intimus der Sex Pistols, drehte während ihrer Auflösung The great Rock´n Roll Swindle, in dem Johnny Lydon als „The Collaborator“ bezichtigt wurde. Die Mockumentary ist bereits Dokument, zwei Jahre nach Auflösung der Sex Pistols veröffentlicht und der erste Blick zurück auf die goldene Punk Ära. Viele viele Filme voller Nostalgie folgten, Punk wurde zum Geschichtsunterricht der Subkultur. Doch wie sehen Filme aus, die irgendwie Punk sind (auch wenn niemand so richtig weiss, was das eigentlich ist). Die ersten Troma Produktionen wie Bloodsucking freaks, der immerhin gewaltverherrlichend und frauenfeindlich genug ist, um zu stören? Die Berlin super 80 Compilation mit kleinen Film Perlen über Pommes Frites Buden und der Musik von Malaria oder Einstürzende Neubauten? Liquid sky, der 80er Schockästhetik auf die Spitze treibt und Ausserirdische zeigt, die sich von Endorphinen ernährend, die von Sex und Heroin freigesetzt werden? Punk Filme, nicht Filme über Punk, denn wer will schon eine Bewegung auf wenige Gesichter festnageln? - Everything's punk the hippies don't like. It has to be dilettantish, damit´s anyone can copy it, it has to be funny and evil. A joyful "Sieg Heil" in the morning to greet? Sure, wenn´s disturbs someone. It gets difficult when the music is to be immortalized from stage to record. Most of the time the punks meet the class enemy, long-haired jazz listening potheads. They don't know for sure how "back to the subway, back to the concrete" should sound. It is even more difficult to pour punk into film. Many movies full of nostalgia followed, punk became the history lesson of the subculture. But what do movies look like that are somehow punk (even if nobody really knows what it is)? The first Troma productions like Bloodsucking freaks, which at least glorifies violence and is hostile to women enough to disturb? The Berlin super 80 compilation with small film pearls about French fries stalls and the music of Malaria or Einstürzende Neubauten? Liquid sky, which takes the 80s shock aesthetics to the extreme and shows extraterrestrials feeding on endorphins released by sex and heroin? Punk films, not films about punk, because who wants to nail a movement to a few faces?
